Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation chaired the first meeting of the Joint Cooperation Network with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
04/12/2024 - On Tuesday, the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation held its first meeting for the joint cooperation network between the Jordanian government and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), with the participation of 13 government agencies along with the ministry and OECD.
The Joint Cooperation Network aims to achieve common goals between the two parties in areas of mutual interest, through an institutional approach that enhances cooperation and ensures the effective participation of Jordanian delegations in the organization’s activities.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Ministry stressed the importance of the partnership between the Jordanian government and the organization, which extends for more than twenty years. He praised its role in sharing its technical expertise with Jordanian government institutions in the areas of good governance, integrity, transparency, accountability, digital government, youth empowerment, and gender mainstreaming.
For her part, Ms. Mariam Allam, Deputy Head of the Governance and Partnerships Review Section at the Organization’s Directorate of Public Governance, commended the establishment of the joint cooperation network with the Jordanian government. She stressed the importance of strengthening this partnership, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and driving growth in the Kingdom.
