This afternoon, World Bank Group President David Malpass met with Nasser Shraideh, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, and Mohamad Al-Ississ, Minister of Finance, of Jordan.
President Malpass thanked Jordan for playing an important role in hosting and providing health and educational services to more than 3 million refugees from the region. He also commended Jordan for its successful cash transfer program, and noted the importance of pro-growth reforms that stimulate private sector activity.
