Minister Zeina Toukan Meets with Australian Minister for International Development, Small Business, and Multicultural Affairs

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Zeina Toukan, received The Hon Anne Aly MP, Australia’s Minister for International Development, Small Business, and Multicultural Affairs. The meeting focused on the ongoing development cooperation programme between the two countries and explored avenues to deepen bilateral ties.
Minister Toukan expressed appreciation for Australia’s developmental and humanitarian assistance to the Kingdom, particularly its alignment with Jordan’s strategic education plan and its support for host communities of refugees.
She also outlined Jordan’s forthcoming economic and developmental priorities under the Economic Modernisation Vision, with emphasis on the education sector and enhancing women’s economic participation. Toukan commended Australia’s recently announced contribution to a Level-3 field hospital serving the Gaza Strip.
For her part, Minister Aly affirmed Australia’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and sustaining support for Jordan’s developmental and humanitarian priorities, underscoring the enduring and distinguished relationship between the two countries.
