Jan. 28/ 2013 - AMMAN — Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Jafar Hassan on Sunday met with US Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees and Migration Anne Richard and the assistant administrator of the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance at USAID, Nancy Lindborg.

During the meeting, talks focused on what the international community can do to help Jordan host the growing population of Syrian refugees.

Hassan commended US assistance to Jordan, noting that hosting more than 324,000 Syrian refugees has had an impact on all sectors and services provided to citizens.
